Announcing our investment in Complete Farmer

When we had our retreat and discussed our plans as a company in 2021, apart from four of our comparative advantages, one phrase we echoed was “make an impact in the ecosystem” as as generic as that phrase might sound, it has been etched in our minds when we make decisions from fund raising to investments, branding etc.

This is why we are pleased to announce our investment in Ghana’s digital agriculture value chain Complete Farmer.

About Complete Farmer

An AgTech startup that enables users to build and manage their farms from the comfort of their homes via their platform.

Complete Farmer platform has always been envisioned to be an end to end platform for the three key stakeholders on the agriculture value chain, food growers, food buyers, and food lovers. The aim is to get these stakeholders interacting with each other in a manner that increases transparency and efficiency for all these stakeholders.

When you ask Desmond Koney the Founder of Complete Farmer to describe his journey this far, he would say,

“Complete Farmer started as an effort to honor my father’s legacy after inheriting his farm when he passed away. I wanted to apply my production engineering skills to revive the farm. This moment sparked the current Complete Farmer journey as I realized challenges that were prevalent in the agriculture value chain.”

Over the past three years, they have successfully implemented a crowd farmer model with a total of 7,200 acres of total production serving commodities to Asia, Europe and the rest of the world, however they are not to be misconstrued as a crowdfunding platform rather Africa’s first end-to-end digital agriculture value chain platform. This platform has been built as a three-sided marketplace where Buyers, Growers and Digifarmers.

We are indeed pleased to be part of the team and we look forward to sharing more of their success.
